These plugs have been life changing for me. I have a disability that makes reaching down to turn switches on and off really difficult. I now have seven of these plugs allowing me to control things in my home that I struggle with. I am also a Luddite and struggle with new technology at times but I was able to instal these entirely on my own with ease. The Smart Life app makes setting them up a breeze and I will be buying more of them as I need them.
I'm enjoying then use of the plugs. The only downside I need to point out, the Teckin SP27/SP23 Smart Plug is NOT all on one App. So, now I'm using two Apps to control the SP27 and SP23 plugs. The Apps I'm using as mentioned on the box are Smart Life (SP23) and Osaio (SP27).
Other than that all is good.
Very good and so easy to use
Very easy to set up.
I original purchased 6 from Amazon and found them very useful to control sockets/lamps around the house. I can set them to come on/off using simple routines so the lights were always on when arriving home and they can also be controlled by a voice command. The plugs do not take up much room in a sockect and so 2 can be plugged in side-by-side. The plugs' WiFi range seems to be good as they work in the garage and the WiFi router is in the house. Because they are so useful I bought 6 more direct from Teckin, whose ordering was simple and they delivered very promptly. I have recommended them to friends and family as they are so useful. I cannot comment on the 13A current rating as I have only been using them for light loads, eg lamps. I don't usually write reviews, but made an exception because they are excellent and economical little devices which replace timers and other older type remote sockets, and so I am sure many will find them useful.
